Description
Installed in Garibaldi Square, the Monument to the Festa Italiana Society is a large Indian granite block (pink and gray) with a dedicatory inscription on the face of it. On the back of the monument, the names of the monument committee members are etched on the surface. Three bronze seals rest atop the monument: the seal of the City of Providence, the seal of the Festa Italiana Society of Rhode Island, and the seal of the State of Rhode Island. On either side of the monument, the U.S. and Italian flags fly.
