Description

Similar in style to a Roman portrait bust in its attention to likeness and use of incised eyes, the bust of Reverend Monsignor Galliano J. Cavallaro is intended to be seen from the front. The artist carved Cavallaro with wavy hair, deep set eyes, flared nostrils, and deep jowl lines. He wears a collar and three-button vestment signaling his position within the Diocese of Providence. The bust rests atop a tall black and gray granite columnar base. On the front of the base, a bronze plaque outlines Reverend Monsignor’s contributions to Providence.
